At the coffee bar we offer a simple menu of traditional
coffee / espresso drinks, seasonal housemade syrups, tea, and curated snacks & beverages, as well as a full selection of our wholebean coffee and a collection of Pinewood souvenirs.
The space was designed to inspire the feeling of stepping into an Edward Hopper painting; timeless & warm.

PINEWOOD COFFEE ORIGINS
Pinewood began with an obsession for hospitality and a dang good cup of coffee. We started roasting in 2014 & fell in love with the ever changing world of specialty coffee. Our goal is to create an approachable cup - balanced between sweetness and acidity.

Our roasting operation began in 2014 in a historic building off main street in McGregor, TX, right outside of Waco. We honed our craft on our Diedrich roaster and made great relationships with farmers through Cafe Imports.

We had the opportunity in 2016 to open our first coffee bar inside of Alpha Omega in Downtown Waco - building community around the coffees we were still roasting 30 min down the road.

We fell in love with our Austin Ave location in 2016 & decided to merge our coffee bar + roasting operation. We opened the flagship shop in 2017 & nestled into the building we call home today.
